Idaho is starting to light up. Those thinking of hiking mid Idaho, Tetons in Wyoming you are going to have smoke now....
 
I can definitely notice a difference in the air here. I hope this is a low fire year.
 
Remainder of summer is forecast to be hot fire wise but you never know with the weather. Mostly N Cal. OR, WA, S half of ID, W half of NV.
 
There is a fire burning near Downey, Idaho (just over the Malad summit). It has burned about 400 acres so far. With no estimant of containment. With the jet stream blowing in from the north I would imagine that the Cache Valley and the Wasach front will see an increase in smoke tomorrow. http://m.localnews8.com/news/fire-reported-near-downey/26987862

A good web site for watching the wildfires and what is happening is at http://inciweb.nwcg.gov You can then pick the state and then the fire and see where is has been and what the prediction is for the fire. Also any closures and other issues.
 
I really like utahfireinfo.gov. It only shows utah's fires, but it's a great layout. Looks like we have a fire in stockton today.
