I really get a kick out of seeing the ice in action over the course of the winter so as I typically do a few times a week I ran down to the American Fork boat harbor Monday to shoot sunset. As soon as I opened my car door I could hear the grinding of ice of rocks. When theres open water and a bit of wind gigantic ice plates will slowly move across the lake. In this video the ice is just brushing up against the shore and breaking up on the rocks creating shards up to 4feet across.
This is 100% real time video and sound.
When the ice moves directly towards the shore you can see it form piles like this right before your eyes.
