The Hurricane Rim Trail is a fun desert hike/ride. It is singletrack with some being nice hard packed dirt, some rocky, some a combination of both, some rock slabs, and some steep sections with considerable elevation change. It follows the south rim of the Virgin River and snakes around a few deep tributary canyons. There are fantastic views of the Hurricane Valley including Hurricane and La Verkin, the Virgin River, the mesas, plateaus and temples of the Greater Zion area and expansive desert landscape scenes.

(^ I love me some Lichens!)

(Look closely just above and to the left of the last Cottonwood tree and you can see the Pah Tempe Hot Springs)

(The Mesas, Plateaus, Alters and Temples of Greater Zion)

(Spot the Historic Canal built by the CCC)

(James Bond flew under this bridge)
The Rim Trail has lots of hike/ride options including loops, out and backs and two car through hikes.
This hike is in full sun be prepared for a HOT desert hike in warmer months but in cooler months it is a great hike in near Hurricane!
