After Alene's half of a half-marathon today, we headed up to Hunter Canyon, which is a canyon off the Colorado river south west of Moab. It really was a beautiful canyon and I'd love to go back and explore more of it.
We did not hike back too far. We stopped at the first large arch you can see. It reminded me of Druid Arch in Canyonlands National Park.
Here are some pictures:
The beginning

Bailey is all packed up and ready to go

Bill and Bowen

Perfect fit

We stopped to rest at this mini pool and stream

Mommy and Bailey

Water reflection

Mommy carried bailey back down
h

Druid-looking arch (couldn't really get a good angle on it)

If it was summer time in Moab, we would be swimming in this

Bailey did a lot of hiking, so she was pretty tired

A little man-made arch on the way out

Lastly, on the road in there are some weird looking homesteads built into the sides of the rock walls along the roads.

I thought this one was the coolest because there was a rope going up to the cave with a chair inside.
