I love hiking and I've got a list of overnight routes "too long for a day hike" that I would like to visit, I end up mostly solo hiking but I'd like to find a few trail buddies too. I kept finding posts from this website during research, so here I am for more intel. Lately I have been exploring southern utah with the camper van. Some ideas from the aforementioned list:
- I spent a few weeks out in the uintas flats near nine mile canyon and would be interesting to follow that for a few days or follow the green river through the mountains.
- Would love to visit grand gulch proper, I've hiked a lot of the side canyons but only as long day trips.
- East fork of virgin river, from mt carmel thru parunuweap exploring the side canyons, up to checkerboard mesa in Zion is also on my mind. Open to canyoneering other parts of the park too.
Some questions: I saw someone else post an interactive route via caltopo, how do I do that? Also, is there a best way to find another person or group to join on a trip?
Excited to talk to yall
