Looking to go on a hike this weekend. Preferably one that isn't jam packed with people if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it! Anywhere within 2 hours of SLC :) Also....any clue as to when will the Uinta's be an option? I went up there last year for the first time and fell in love! Just itching to go back there. Thanks guys! :)

Lots of snow up high still...but that makes it fun! =) If you have crampons or micro spikes you can keep on trekking past the dry trails. Sometimes you can even get by without those as long as the snow is consolidated/packed enough to not break through. Doing this will usually get you away from the crowds. Just an idea...

Keep your eye on this thread for Uinta Conditions.

The lower elevation Uinta trails could be good right now, at least until the snow gets thick. Check out Shingle Creek, Yellow Pine or North Fork Provo River Trail. They are all on the north side of 150, just east of Kamas. Check that Uintas conditions threads for links to trip reports from some of them.

Also, the Trail Guides, located at the top of the screen, could direct you to any number of hikes you could do this weekend. Post a Trip Report when you get back!
