Hi friends of BCP,

Have lost wifes wading boots in Swett Creek.:(
Stay at the moment in Hanksville on CG till tomorrow, 04/23.
Where could we buy new ones or similar in the corner of Torrey and Escalante?

Thanks a bunch for your help. :)

There is an outdoor gear place next to the Chevron in Torrey, not sure what kind of shoes they sell but they have lots of outdoor gear signs on the front (MSR, Camelback, etc.).

But what I really want to know is how you lost her boots in Swett Creek? Is it really wet in the narrow or did they just fall of a pack or something?

Thanks for your hint, Nick. :)
Swett was bonedry and a lot of pebbles, much more than 3 years ago.
Only below the spring there water was. The pool at the chokestone was knee deep. Here shoes maybe falls down from my pack in that area.

Oh, they fell off your pack while you were walking. I second that place that Nick was talking about. They are pretty much an outfitter with a bit of backpacking stuff and also hunting and fishing stuff. They might have waders. Wait one..... quick trip to Google Maps... It is Capital Reef Backcountry Outfitters. Call before driving over there

Capitol Reef Backcountry Outfitters
875 Utah 24
Torrey, UT 84775‎

Other than that you may be SOL until Green River or even Price.

...sorry for late reply.
Now I've data connect.
Bought a new pair of shoes in Torrey. The outfitter there is great.
Thanks again for advice. :)
Nick:
We hiked Swett down till Trachyte and spend a night there, below Woodruff. Next morning Woodruff up and back to RV. That was a piece of work w/ bulky backpack.
Yesterday hiked down to Death Hollow, spend a night up canyon.
Now we stay on Spencer Flat and hike tomorrow to Esca-Volcano 2 day trip.
