I've been reading trip reports on Backcountrypost for a few years and finally asked myself, "Why haven't you actually joined?" As you might imagine, I'm a Boise, Idaho based hiker/backpacker. My favorite place to hike is Yellowstone, and I hike there three to four times a year. This past summer (summer of 2025), I led one trip that spent two nights at Moss Creek, a second trip that was for three nights along the Bechler River, and a third trip that spent two nights at Heart Lake. This summer, I'm planning on another Heart Lake trip (late July - leading a group of graduating high school students), a two night stay along the Lamar River in August, and a trip full of day-hikes in September. Should be a fun summer! In addition to Yellowstone, I enjoy hiking in Idaho's Sawtooths, Utah's Uintas, and anywhere in Glacier. I've very much enjoyed reading many trip reports posted by users, and hope to entertain one or two of you myself once I have a chance to put together a trip report.
