Yup, another new member from northern Utah. I'm impressed with the quantity and quality of the material here on BackcountryPost - I wish had learned of it sooner.
I hike and snowshoe/cross-country ski in the Cache Valley area and each summer I manage to get in some backpacking. In the past I've backpacked around much of the region, including Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and of course, Utah. Most of my experience is in the Uintas and Wind Rivers, and I've been at it for more than 40 years now.

I moved to Logan from Salt Lake City 18 years ago and I lived in Logan while attending USU in the 70s.

Now, for an off-topic question: I have slide shows of recent backpacking trips that I could easily post as trip reports. Comments are typed right on the images, however. Will I be able to redo a post if it doesn't turn out? (I would replace the slide show images with the unaltered original photos).

Yes, you can edit a post after you post it if you want. If you want to delete one and start over fresh, send me a message. All trip reports are awesome, new or old, so post away!

I lived in Logan and attended USU as well. The wife and I often talk about moving back and still have some friends in Mendon.

I miss skiing at Beaver and hiking Dry canyon with my dogs. Great place to be.

Yes, it's good to live here, with the possible exception of January and February (but skiing helps with that). I used to ski the Beav but now I ski cross-country.

Welcome Dave! I also call Logan home! Been here almost 17 years now.
