Guess the spot

Good guess, but nope!

Outdoor_Fool, Yes you are correct! And I see you have already posted a photo.

Now your photo looks like it was taken in the Thorofare in Yellowstone NP, with the Yellowstone River looking towards the Two Ocean Plateau.

Now here is the next photo ... What is the name of the peak? This is from an older slide that I scanned some years ago.

Yes It Is ... I had wondered if this would be an easily one for certain folks like you.

Now you are back up ... Go For It!

It was an old slide from 1986 that I scanned some years ago. Did wonder if you would pick it up or not.

Have to ask you a question, in the photo with your name, is that an old Gregory Cassin Pack you used? It looks just like my old pack. I personally have had one for years that I have Soooo Loved and am still using.

Nice photo above!

Yes have had a Gregory Casein for years. It was Great and am still using it. I could take in a month's supplies with that Casdin. So you had the next size down. Knew from the photo it was similar. Do you miss the old pack!

The photo looks like maybe somewhere in the lower Wind Rivers where a fire had gone thru it or in the lowland Sierras somewhere possibly because of all the rock.

Do know exactly what you mean. I have had a Gregory Cassin for years. Great Pack! Starting to fall apart. A friend found an identical pack in great shape which I now have and will continue to use.

I Loved Loved those old quick release belts on the old Gregory packs. Know exactly exactly what you are saying. Yes they do not not make these packs or belts anymore which saddens me.

Thought it might be in the Winds, all of the rock. But which lake in the Winds for there are lakes in the Winds everywhere.

Could this be Black Lake near the Timico Trail in the Winds, which is not that far from Fayette Lake? Just a wild guess. Kayla
