Part 2 of me and Joey of My Own Frontiers 8 day backpacking trip in the Greater Yellowstone area. In this part we go from the Headwaters of the Yellowstone, over passes, follow a Grizzly through the Thorofare, and up an unknown route under Overlook Mountain into Rampart Creek, a pretty wild adventure in one of the most remote places in the lower 48 states. Stunning beauty had us mind blown for every second of this amazing trip! Enjoy!

Gosh, Loved Your Videos!!!! Thanks for posting! I watched both of them and it looks like you had a great and fabulous trip. Good for you in doing this! Now I have been all over this country and your videos brought back sooooo many Great Memories! Gosh how I miss that good Country for haven't been in to this country now for several years. Great Videos and What a Trip!

Better than any show or movie I could have watched with my time. Really a well done video, of a more than amazing epic trip. Thanks for sharing. Like I said before, I really enjoy your videos when your companion is Joey.

I'm glad you got to make it to the North Fork, it is a very special place indeed. Tell me a little bit about the unnamed pass you went over and dropped down into the Rampart Creek Drainage. Was there a trail along the pass that leads down into the Glacier Creek Drainage also, that eventually leads to Fishhawk Meadows?

It was an awesome pass, very exposed, we looked and couldnt find any ways other than down into Rampart. After getting back and researching I think we could have continued north/west from the pass and dropped down onto the top of Fishhawk Glacier and made our way down the basin. There is also a route from the Trident Plateau that takes you to the top of Overlook mountain following the ridge lines. I dont have any more info on that at the time

Thanks appreciate that!

Really cool trip. So many nice scenes between parts 1 and 2. Really liking all the videos from this year so far.

I really enjoyed it. You don't have a map highlighting the route that you took by any chance do you? I'm in the process of planning a trip to that area for 2022. I use Caltopo and I've done my best to trace what I'm thinking you did, but I'd love to see what you actually did.
