I'm looking for suggestions for good dispersed camping within 3 hours of LA.
I am not familiar with the area (or state) at all. We are from Arizona and have a preference for the mountains, but are open to any terrain. Access to at least one trailhead for a worthwhile day hike needed. The less people in the area the better. We are likely to drive in on Friday evening and head home Sunday evening. So car camping, and four people. Unsure yet if this will be later this summer or in the fall.
