I've been using this site a little to plan trips for a while. Decided to join up so howdy. Mostly I'm an archaeologist who day hikes, backpacks, and thru hikes wherever in the 4-corners. Done a few peaks and things outside that region.

And since you didn't mention it, I'm retired (still teaching an occasional class at the college in Napa) but I spend most of my free time working as a volunteer in the National Forests in the Sierra Nevada--Desolation Wilderness, Mokelumne Wilderness, Eldorado NF, Stanislaus NF, and Sierra NF--primarily doing trail work and clean up: from clearing trees off the trail to moving rocks and picking up trash.

But I've always wanted to volunteer on an archeology project. Let me know it you ever need a pair of aging but willing hands and an active mind!
