Goblin Valley State Park just tripled in size. What changed?

A look into what will change now that Goblin Valley State Park has tripled in size and the significance of this expansion for future federal land transfers in Utah.

Sounds like it will expand quite a bit to include some of the popular/classic hikes in the area. Not sure what the practical ramifications will be or what the net impact will be.

We were there in early May and it wasn’t that busy especially if you wandered further into the hoodoos and such. People don’t stray too far from the parking lot.
