Hiking out of Many Glacier in early September (yes, aware of the construction), and trying to find acceptable lodging on the east side of the park. I've been there, and know the east side is, uh, rustic compared to the west side. Not having much luck finding something that doesn't look pretty sketchy. I might have to just get something on the east side and drive a couple hours to/from the trailhead. We're flying in/out of Kalispell, but we have time to do some driving. Let me know if anyone has suggestions, and thanks...

I stayed at Mountain Pine Motel near East Glacier Park last Sept and it was fine. The decor was dated and worn, but it was clean and functional for basic needs. I parked right outside the room which made for easy in/out. It is the east side, but still an hour+ drive to Many Glacier. I would stay there again but I didn't spend any time in the room other than showering or sleeping.
