Hey all. Since I'm new to Utah and new to backpacking I thought I'd ask for some advice here. I'm thinking of doing a short overnight in the Uintas in mid-August. I wanted to get some suggestions.
Since I'm new (and out of shape) I don't want to do anything too crazy. I'm thinking I'd like to roll in early on a Saturday morning from SLC, hike to a quiet spot for some camping, then hike out on a Sunday. So, what are your suggestions? Which trails should I hit? What lake should I visit? Etc.
