Hello,
I'm planning / hoping to spend a couple nights backpacking Wyoming's Encampment River Wilderness in early June, but I'm working off an old guidebook (Lorain), so I really don't know the current condition of the place. I'll call the Forest Service, as well, but I do like to check all sources. And sometimes the FS staffer you can get on the phone isn't really familiar with on-the-ground conditions.
I figured I would hike in from the south trailhead one day, find a camp for a couple nights about 5-9 miles up, and dayhike the day between. Anybody know something I should know?
Thanks!
Paul
