After seeing the photos posted earlier on backcountrypost and canyon collective for a trip down Middle Echo, I decided to try it out!
This was my brothers 2nd canyoneering experience (first was Rock canyon on the south side of Parunaweep).
I'm glad it is off the list now. I thought the canyon was really pretty, but the hike up and down isn't worth doing it again (in my opinion).
Don't get me wrong though, its definitely a good canyon.
Zion was packed for Memorial Day Weekend so parking and shuttle rides were crazy!
We finally got up to Weeping Rock and started the hike up. I didn't really mind the hike up; it's just UP for 2 miles. I love the trail though!
The canyon was awesome! The little rappels through the entire Echo canyon are fun to navigate.
We didn't encounter too many people in the canyon. One group at the first and another group at the end. That was nice since we were gonna do Pine Creek and well you know what that last rappel is like...
Still pluggin away at hitting all the Zion Canyons!
