Earth Shadow made a fine appearance on New Year's Eve in Glen Canyon.

It was pretty cool to see the shadow of Mauna Kea at sunset. Every sunrise and sunset, Mauna Kea casts its shadow on the Earth's atmosphere, creating a distinctive triangular shaped shadow. This phenomena worked great because there were no clouds where the sun was setting

I'm pretty sure this is the earth shadow.
I have been looking for this ever since I read this thread.
