Des Peak conditions?

I might take a quick trip up Deseret Peak this Saturday and was wondering if anyone's been up near the top lately and knows how much snow is left? Hopefully I can get away with trail runners but will take boots/axe if necessary...

Now there's one I'd love to see a TR from. I don't think we've ever had a Deseret Peak TR here. Hint hint.

It's been on my to-do list for years. Note you might not be able to get up there right now though, the USFS a few weeks back closed the upper portion of the road due to some rockfall. Check before heading out to be sure.

Thanks for the tip, I'll call them tomorrow. It's a great half-day hike. I've only done it as an out-and-back, was hoping this time to do this loop + hit a few of the high points to the north:

I was also surprised given the number of Wasatch Front BPC'ers that there hadn't been a Thurston Peak report until I wrote one last year. Maybe a list is in order of places that there hasn't been TR's posted to motivate people to get out and write one.

As of last week, the road to the Loop Campground / Des Peak trailhead is open!

Great conditions up there today, and coolish at the top. Several small snow crossings but they'll be gone in days. I'll write up a TR if I get a minute.
