This was my last trail assignment on the Bighorn NF. Late September 2015. This route took us from the Coffeen Park TH into the Solitude Trail. Big Goose Creek to Lake Geneva, Crystal Lake, Geneva Pass, Robin Lake. Then to finish off the North Paint Rock Creek Loop around Cliff Lake, Sheepherder Lake, Lake Eunice, and Finally a sweet Camp at Lake Elsa. This was a fun cut and run hitch. That means we cut out logs with the cross cut saw that had fallen over the trail.

The Trail was already pretty clear and we only had to cut out 3 trees, but we had an awesome end of the season backpacking treat! Thatnks for reading. More about the Bighorn and Cloud Peak to come!

Do you know if crossing between Lake Elsa and Spear Lake is advisable? Hope to make a nice loop by adding this pass.
