Cedar Mesa conditions March 19 -2026

Thanks! We’re backpacking from Kane Gulch starting 3/27.
Any updated water reports would be very helpful.

Do update us if you can. Heading in on 4/1, Kane to Bullet.
It’s raining there now, so that’s good news.

We ventured as far as Todie confluence, and the best water was in Kane Gulch 1/2 mile before Junction. It was bone dry from Junction to Todie. We also ascended Grand Gulch from the Junction, and found plentiful water about 1/2 mile up.

But with this good rain, water should likely be plentiful everywhere in the short term.
Have a great one!

Slept at Bullet Canyon Trailhead on 3/31. Rain started around midnight and by morning there was about an inch of water in a pot I left out. It continued raining well past noon as I descended Bullet.

Plenty of clear water at Green Mask Spring. Hiked out via Sheiks on 4/3—clear water was abundant throughout.

Day-hiked the upper and middle sections of Pollys Canyon today 4/4, and it had the most water by far. Running clear in stretches up to ~100 yards.

Recent Rock fall in Bullet. Some of the trees it pulverized still had blossoms.
