Cave Valley

Last night I received an urgent email from Nick saying "Chere and Alison are looking for you." I hurried and logged into BCP to see what was up and they were looking for information on the pictographs found at Cave Valley in ZNP. I called Chere and began to attempt to describe where they could be found. This is harder than it sounds! Rather than risk them not finding them (there wave trip already having been ruined I didnt want their backup plan to also be at risk, plus I wanted to go ) I quickly invited myself to go with them. When she said they were leaving at 5:30 AM I questioned if I had made the right decision(I did) and grumpily set my alarm! It is a cool (and at times cold as it snowed on us most of the morning ) area and was a pleasure to hike with these two. I will let Allison post a more detailed TR or at least more pics as she took more than me! I will also let, one of them describe one of the pictures and why the were in, the inner cave! I would but would probably end up blushing! .

Oh my favorite part of the trip. So we are climbing the icy hill that leads to the main pictograph cave and I saw something. At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but then I realized that something was moving in the cave. I stopped Allison and Chere and said, "um either there is an animal up there or some people." It turns out there was a couple camping in the cave (i would guess illegally) I hope we didnt ruin some young amorous couples naked nap time )

Ha! Hilarious! Love the last bit about the couple. Ill get more pics and TR up tomorrow. Long day. Really thankful you were able to meet up with us! Our personal guide.

I will leave the report up to Alison as I did not take a single photograph. No camera.... but I will be going back and soon. Got my eye on a new shiny toy that will take photos. Thanks a ton Matt!
