Cat Canyon is a great hike for the late fall or early spring because the trailhead is right on a major highway and the elevation is low, so the snow melts out early. But despite the ease of access, it’s also very lightly traveled and it’s a great hike to stretch the legs in preparation for the coming summer trips.
