Bloods Lake Private Property?

Does anyone know anything about Bloods Lake located off of Guardsman Pass? It seems to be a pretty popular hike on a well-used trail that starts at the parking area there on the pass. But about half way to the lake there is a 'no trespassing, no thoroughfare' sign high in a tree. I've been trying to google a definitive answer but I'm not finding it. I tried calling the Salt Lake Ranger District but they don't answer the phone. Anyone know anything?

It's definitely private, but Wasatch County's map doesn't show property owner information. Everything in white is private--Blood's Lake is the one in the upper-left:
