Just wondering if anyone here has done a Berg Lake to Moose Lake backpack in Jasper? Looks to be about 49 miles. Anything I should know? Side trips? Difficult days?

Thanks,

Are you talking about Moose Lake on the Yellowhead Highway, Hwy 16, southeast of Berg Lake?
If so, part of the route from Berg Lake is on the Great Divide Trail. I think. Things are pretty sketchy in that part of Robson Provincial. Like unmaintained trails. Do able but the river fords can be interesting if the water levels are relative high.
I know someone who completed the Great Divide Trail last year. He said that he was wet a lot in the Robson Park area.
How do you plan to get to the Berg Lake Trailhead? The bus to/from Jasper stopped running last year. I don't know if another service has started up since then.
Good luck! Berg Lake is probably my favorite place on earth.
OH!!!!!! All of the campsites on the Berg Lake Trail are subject to advanced reservations. If you wish to camp in the Berg Lake area you will probably need a reservation. Otherwise, plan on an early start and get past the Berg Lake campsites the first day.

"Moose River Route: Length: 66 kilometres; suggested time: six days; elevation change: 770 metres. Five hundred metres west of the Moose River, a road leads to the route head on the north side of the CN Rail tracks. This route should be attempted only by well-equipped, experienced hikers. River crossings and route finding are required. Refer to the Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake Trail) brochure for more information."

You've done your homework, way ahead of what I know.
I'm envious. I wouldn't dream of that trip alone.
Good luck! Standing by for the illustrated Trip Report.
