Hello everyone!!

I am a co-founder of the American Southwest Outdoor Recreation Association. ASORA is dedicated to the pursuit of outdoor adventures. Through the anticipation, participation, and reflection of outdoor experiences, ASORA aims to cultivate and improve the public perception of, exploration of, and stewardship of public lands in the west.

ASORA initiates its programs from national and regional initiatives designed to strengthen efforts to recreate outside. One such example is the America’s Great Outdoor: A Promise to Future Generations, a signed Presidential Memorandum by Barack Obama, “to promote and support innovative community-level efforts to conserve outdoor spaces and to reconnect Americans to the outdoors.” Additionally, ASORA programs will have special emphasis on economically underserved youth and demographics with lower than average outdoor engagement.

We have our first board meeting March 23rd and are hoping for some community involvement to guide us in this up coming project.

We are circulating a short survey and would appreciate any input

Cheers,
James
