Arches & Canyonlands closed due to snow

With recent snows and no money to plow the roads due to the shutdown, Arches and Canyonlands have been closed.

The roads are closed, but the parks are still open if you hike in. I just spent the evening watching the sunset at Delicate Arch with no one else there! It was great!

On second thought, I just realized you probably camped. Delicate would be an awesome spot to camp though! Hard to believe its been 12 years since I've been there. I must get back soon!

We hiked in from outside the park, but not on the main road. It was a much shorter hike than that.

We only hiked right to Delicate Arch from outside the park, but we never saw another person while we were there. Didn't see any cars on the road in the distance, either.

When I read about the road closure, my very first thought was: I know exactly, who will be visiting the park very soon again during this road closure!
What a way to start 2019, wow.
