Every year we celebrate St Pat's Day and my B-day by skiing across the Hogan Park Trail on Rabbit Ears Pass to the Steamboat ski area. It's about a 7 1/2 mile trek across the pass at roughly 10,000 ft of elevation. The adventure starts on the pass (Hwy 40) and ends at the base of the ski area with many stops along the way. 3 1/2 mile descent at the ski hill, about 3600 vertical. Mandatory Irish Car Bomb shots, Guinness Stout breaks, and a smoke stop or two for our newest legal substance abounded. At least we're getting some exercise.
The usual suspects
Ambling along
Is it drink time?
Tis a lovely day on the pass
Beverage time
Nice sweater Mikey!
Johnny looking quite dapper
Don't waste that Guinness
Gratuitous Aspen pose
It's OK Glenn It's legal now
Arrrrgh!!
I had to get in one. And yes we do eat lunch.
Last stop before ski area. Met this couple walking there husky dog
Everyone somehow made it safely across the pass and down the ski hill.
Me??? Another year older and survived another St Pat's B-day!
