Stumbled across this forum from a mention on Reddit. I'm getting ready for my future retirement hobby by hitting various trails during my downtime. Got into the hobby late in life, as backpacking isn't the biggest outdoorsy thing in Hawaii 
. I've done a few backpacking (short) trips over the last couple of years and am planning to check off the Kalalau Trail in April and then the Timberline Trail later in the year (or TRT).
I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys and learning from your experiences!
