In January of 2024 I spent 5 days hiking a small section of the historic El Camino Real in central Baja California.

This was my third attempt(once in 2022 and again in 2023) to hike a section of this historic route from the 1700's.

Much like in 2023, I ended up going up the wrong wash, but it was still an amazing trip.

If you would like to read about it here is the LINK to where I posted it on the Baja Nomad Forums.

Hiking there does not seem to be for the faint of heart! Seems like the choice is often between climbing over, under and around boulders or getting shredded by all manner of thorns. Well, and then there are the mountain lions... I was surprised by the amount of water. It looks so incredibly dry in the other photos.

By the way, also sent you a PM.
