The through-hike of Hole-in-the-rock would be very interesting to me! My Great-great-great-grandpa was on that expedition. I have never seen beyond the crack onward to bluff. would be an amazing and very meaningful trip!
Hey Jackson!!
Yes, I am back in Utah! Working in Price for a manufacturing company that uses 3D printers to make parts and compete with injection molding. Great new job and I'm close to so many places I love! I do miss northern AZ though, and wish I would have had a job that let me get out more...
I am so happy to be back close to these mountains, and this report just gets me so excited to see more of the beloved Uinta's. Those pics of Red Castle are awesome! I hope I can get back in there this summer. Thanks for the post!
Thanks! :) Hiking the UHT was one of the funniest trips I have done! it didn't come easy though. For the last half I had foot and knee problems. Im glad it didn't slow me down, but I had to take some heavy pain meds to keep it under control as I hiked up and down the passes.

Essentially we walked a LONG way and really enjoyed all that we saw!
We did have one guy bail after 2 days. his feet were so blistered, that he tapped out and had his wife come pick him up at Whiterocks TH.
I had a very good experience hiking over...
Finally! Fom July 25 to July 31 we hike about 100 miles along the Uinta Highline Trail. My heart is still reeling from the experience!
This Poem kind of expresses how I feel:
1.Our mountain home so dear,
Where crystal waters clear
Flow ever free,
While thru the valleys wide
The flow’rs on...
We did about 14 miles a day. it didn't seem to bad :) walk all day and then camp. we had planned to do it over 8 days, but once we got to Lightning Lake, we opted to just make the hike all the way to the car and get the double cheeseburger! haha
