First two both look like Henry's Fork Lake to me. I've attached a photo I took at the lake and have geo tagged there. Same ridge line. Far fewer pine beetles. The waterfalls looks like some of the falls in Henry's Fork Basin as you leave the trail in the heart of the drainage.

You sound like me. I've been on top of Kings several times, and each time, in the back of my mind I was going to hike South Kings if I had time or energy. Those tend to be in short supply on that summit. Maybe someday...

I've camped here before and found the better campsites to be near the smaller lakes to the south. Quiet area considering you're near the Lower Red Castle crowd and a short hike to the Yellowstone drainage with a Kings Peak crowd.

I completely agree - it's one of those areas where the pictures look great, but they still aren't even close to showing off the natural beauty.
