I wouldn't take anything up or down the Flint Trail that doesn't have decent clearance and a low range.

Not always, we ran into groups that were told by Rangers last year that there was plenty of water in Grand Gulch between Kane and Bullet and that wasn’t the case…they were struggling since they didn’t carry enough water with them.

I'd guess if they are worried about the road from Hite to Water Hole Flat, which is usually a decent road for vehicles with a little clearance, then the Flint Trail would probably be out of the question.

It all depends on how narrow the canyon is (and for how long) and what kind of escape routes there are and how big of an area the canyon drains. For Harris Wash, there would have to be a significant rain or storm system in the forecast to make me avoid it.

There is definitely a big boulder blocking the road near Bobbys Hole, a photo of it is posted on ExpeditionUtah.

I sleep in the back of my Jeep frequently, and even though I am 6'5" I fit comfortably if I push the passenger seat all the way forward and don't even have to lay diagonally. As far as gear, I have a shelf in the back that is raised to keep my gear on. That way my legs can lay underneath it...

I've camped at the Cottonwood Cove TH and there are plenty of places to pitch a tent in the sand around the area.

Cedar Mesa and Canyonlands usually starting in May and June when it starts getting hot out.

They bother me when I am alone, but when my wife is with they go after her more and seem to leave me alone. Obviously, I prefer to hike in mosquito country when she is with :lol: No idea on blood types, though.
