Awesome! Are you working for the NPS? Some great backpacking there near the south entrance, not a lot of people on those trails.

It's never too late! Nothing hits quite like a trip to somewhere warm and tropical in mid-March. I went to Hawaii almost exactly two years ago and the timing was just right, being late winter. It's 60 here today though, so the warm weather came to me instead this year.

Looking pretty grim up here also. Winter so far has not given me much hope for a turnaround later this month or in April. Guess it's time to dust off and tune up the gravel bike.

And just to clarify, the poles to make it free-standing aren't trekking poles, but rather are flexible poles like a regular dome tent has, where they cross each other in the center of the tent, and their length is probably specific to the tent. As shown here:
