Good Choice, I've been up Nate's Canyon on a long day hike. "Delicate Arch" is one of the coolest I've seen. Wandering on to the "Backcountry" airstrip was something I wasn't expecting.

His new one is also great. The Dead Tongues, and Charlie Parr are my current obsession. Has a lot to do with learning to play more finger style guitar.

    Backpacking - Old School

In 94 I hiked into Coyote Gulch as my first backpacking experience. I remember hating the bully of our scouts for hitting frogs with a stick. I remember it raining lightly, but being covered by the overhang and staying dry. I remember seeing the stars glow brightly, and the sand in...

    Album The members of backcountrypost.com

We've always spelled it Mya, but if @Artemus wants to spell it wrong he is entitled to do so. We like short names for dogs, and it sounded right when we got her 9 years ago. 42 in doggy years, she's getting old, but still acts like a puppy.

There is some info on water up by cliff point in Steve Allen's C2 Steven's Canyon Walk. I was up there after a recent, and during a big storm. Water was not an issue, but I wouldn't count on it during dryer times. That area is a perfect candidate to have in your back pocket during a big...

    Coyote Gulch via Dry Fork?

I did the same. Cost/benefit analysis would mean carrying a lot of water, without much pay off.

The Lower Gulch - Escalante (Seeking info on the route)

When going down The Gulch, pay extra attention to the exit, and entrance to bypass the large pour off.

Salt Creek - Needles or other options in the Utah desert

Ryan is right, for the most part. Most of the cool ruin stuff is closer to Cathedral Butte, and a shuttle to Squaw flat is definitely the way to go. There is a whole lot of exploration in the area if you are motivated, look around and you'll find stuff not in the guidebooks.
