    Uinta's in late sept

The Fish Lake area is short(4.5 miles to Fish Lake) and it's a nice area. Fishing is great also. Late September you should see a lot less people. I'd suggest going to W-57 if you like to fish and want a small lake all to yourself. It's just past Fish Lake. Probably 5 miles from the Dry Fork TH...

    Wind Rivers - Worthen Meadows

Did you try using scuds in Leg? Sucks you didn't catch anything in there considering what kind of fish they are... I know that lake has been stocked 3 times since 2006 including early August of this year. Cool pictures!

    New backcountrypost shirts: pre-order now!

The sleeves on mine are a little short but I ordered a small. I'd rather have my sleeves a little short than a little long. I ordered a medium on the previous shirts and it was a little looser than I like. These ones have more of an athletic fit which I really like.

    Photo storage

Stop photo hoarding!! Haha. One thing that helps me to free up space is to go back and delete the pictures that I don't use/want from past trips. I manage my photo libraries in Lightroom.

Fish Lake area of the Uintas

Thanks. It's a great area. I would suggest camping at W-57 for some solitude. Yea, I bought some replacements lenses. I also just picked up the new dive housing so that when I film underwater it doesn't look soft/blurry. I've yet to try it out though. Hopefully tomorrow.

    Early Exploration of the Southwest

I think a lot of the common practices back then are now considered bad. Current archaeology practices are nothing like what they used to be. I have read Richard Wetherill - Anasazi and believe that he had good intentions although some of the things he did maybe don't seem right when we look at...

Fish Lake area of the Uintas

Finally finished the video from this trip. The white fuzzy spot on some of the footage is where my GoPro fell and scratched the plastic case in front of the lens

    Backpacking Cedar Mesa - Suggestions?

I've got the lower portion of Grand Gulch on my bucket list. Entering in Collins Canyon and going down all the way to the confluence with the San Juan. It's a down and back trip. Tons and tons of ruins and rock art down there and a lot less traffic than the upper portion. Slickhorn Canyon would...

Where to fish near Salt Lake City

Haha. That's when the big boys are out feasting! I've caught a 20+ inch Brown 2 of the last 3 times we've fished this spot. I can pretty much guarantee you a 20+ inch sucker... We catch 3 or 4 of them every time we go. The one I caught last time we went was about 26" and 8-9 lbs. Gonna be a full...

    Logan Canyon Overnighter

I ended up having a family get-together early Saturday evening so I decided to take my son on an overnighter someplace we could drive to fairly quick. We ended up going to one of my favorite places up Logan Canyon. I have been going here for as long as I can remember. We got up there Friday...
