    Boundary Canyon w/ Narrows Exit

We did the same last year and it was amazing. The kids went up the MIA exit and we enjoyed a night of relaxation. What I really loved about Boundary was the walls. A really beautiful canyon!

Canyonlands NP (Part 2 of 4)

I love taking someone new up to Druid. They're climbing up that last part and you're waiting for them to turn around once and realize they just landed on Mars!

    Ravenous Ravens in Chesler Park

Ravens are so smart! We were on a river trip in the Grand Canyon first time we found out. The guide was just explaining how they can unzip bags when one flew overhead with my husband's bandana. Another one was when I was at a habitat meeting for our local desert tortoise reserve and they...

    Meek's Mesa

The grass is blue grama. It looks like eyelashes. Enjoyed your report especially Dad letting his daughter stem with a sucker. That made me laugh!

    Another Salt Creek Canyon Report

I was there last March. I had to walk the last part of the road because of the snow and change my destination to Angel Arch instead of the entire trail. Cold at night, beautiful in the day. Never saw anyone till I was coming out. Great report!

white pocket hike, South Coyote Buttes

I have a 4 runner and sand was coming in through the cracks in the back doors. High clearance necessary for sure. Going in cool weather really helps too. That being said, I loved white pocket. Good luck!

    Druid Arch in Winter

Just spent three nights in the Needles. I car camped and day hiked. Beautiful but cold! I broke trail to within 1 mile of Confluence Overlook then felt it was just too possible to get stuck out in the dark with the slow going. I don't take the dark lightly there. After getting back to the...

    Druid Arch in Winter

Beautiful and I know the feeling well of maybe I shouldn't have tried this! The spikes are helpful but sometimes you have clear slickrock alternating with snow. The ladder would really hard with snow!

37 days on bikes in southern Utah (PART 1)

You certainly knew how to hit the highlights! Your pictures were like a photo album of all the places I love! I was out at White Pocket a week or two ago with my 4 Runner and the sand was coming in through the door bottoms, that deep. You must have legs of steel! Fantastic report, can't wait...

    12/7-8 Geological Oddities Abound

When we hiked that Boulder field, my husband stepped right over a small rattlesnake without noticing. Left it for me! I didn't let him live that one down for awhile.
