Little Death Hollow & Wolverine Loop

Dumping snow on the camper this morning. Plenty of single digits last week. Wish I was closer to red rock!

    Trouble with Coleman Propane Cylinders

The price is a bummer. I bought my tank about 10 years ago and don't remember it being that high. But it's great to refill it for $3. I originally bought it for week long raft trips. I don't use the Buddy heater for the camper although some folks do to reduce the battery usage of the fan forced...

    Trouble with Coleman Propane Cylinders

What didn't you like about the one gallon cylinder? The hose? I don't car camp much either, but it sure is nice to run a Buddy heater for a bit in the morning this time of the year.

Yes! Backcountry Navigator is great, but I keep having problems. Especially since moving it to the SD card.

Congratulations! Looks like a great peak! Just think of all the weight you could have saved by bringing along a set of hexes.

    Southern Utah Canyoneering

How long is the drive from Alabama? We used to drive about 900 miles from northern Idaho several times a year, but it always felt worth it when you stepped into that warm sun. The East Fork of Leprechaun is a fun one. That was my first technical canyon. If you head back, be sure to go down the...

    Down Pad Problem?

Give Exped an email and maybe a picture if you can. They have great customer service! I had problems with an internal baffle and they sent me a new one.

    Backpacking The Dirty Devil

We filtered the Dirty Devil water last spring and didn't have issues. Bring something to allow it to settle. We used a couple waterproof stuff sacks. Filtered with a Sawyer mini and then treated with Aqua Mira just to be sure.

    Backcountry Vehicles

Bummer. Must be the size difference. I just checked the receipt and they were $850 mounted and balanced. Cheaper than what I paid for the KO'S there. If your truck had a longer bed I'd be interested.

Fixed the price above - accidentally hit the 7 on my phone. All of my other quotes were $1100 too.

They still have them. Give them a call. I think I only paid $850 or so for 10 ply. The price surprised me.

If you do get new tires, I've been very happy with the new KO2's too. Costco has a great price and frequently has a $70 coupon. They ride much better than the KO's.

Most Miles Hiked in a Day

43 miles in a day in the Sawtooths and about 10,000'. Backpacking, we had several 20-25 mile days in Patagonia with 40-50 pound packs.
