I made it out to the Manitou Incline today. For those of you who don't know what it is. It's an abandoned rail way, where the tracks have been removed and converted to a very steep trail. It climbs 2,000ft in one mile. Starting at about 7,000ft and climbing to 9,000ft. The way down is the 4 mile Barr Trail via the switchbacks.
It's a killer training place. The super hard peeps do it more than once. I was just happy to get through it once today.
Just follow the white line to the top.
The view half way up.
the view form the summit.
And here is the trail going back down, 4 miles of switchbacks. Which i ran back down. I am beat, but feeling pretty proud about a hard training day.
