I day hiked it but this was 2-3 miles down from lava point so closer to site #9

John, it was very nice last weekend plus Monday (27-34F at night @ 6,000-7,000ft, dark sky, new moon, no wind!). Surprisingly it was all blue sky, no wind and 35F this morning on CM. But it did get pretty unsettled this afternoon, mix of blue sky, snow squalls, wind. There’s very little snow on most of CM prior to this upcoming storm. It was around 50F when we drove over the comb ridge a few hours ago.

But yes, starting tonight, it’s snow, wind, cold and very unsettled weather on CM (and many of other locations!).
