Interesting that they aren't allocating anything for walk-in traffic. Great to not have to use a fax machine any more!

I used it three weeks ago. It actually didn't work. System crashed and they had to process everything manually. All's well that ends well though and in the end I got the permit for backpacking Salt Creek I was after.

finally!!! I really hated the fax machine thing and always had to search for one where I could send in my application for permits.

Just made some reservations for Memorial Day weekend on the new system....all went well and I definitely like it better than the old way

I applied for 3 spots and got all 3, but I wish the confirmation email told me the dates and times for each one (I end up needing to cancel one).

In the past you have been able to call and change your plans after the fact...I assume that is still an option
