The hard part about this thread is that we often don't know where to even start. Unlike the Utah one where it is narrowed down already to one state and is either a random Uinta lake or mountain if it isn't some random red rock wall in a canyon.

I feel your pain but that's what I like about. Some require a LOT of detective work.

Insider knowledge and I still couldn't get it. Think of all the bandwidth I wasted. And yes, insider knowledge is fair and square in this game, as Guess the Spot is a bloodsport, my friends. But I will say in my defense that I still had to guess, as the insider knowledge was pretty vague.

On that note, here's an easy one to make up for all the time wasted by my meanderings around in the dark (literally). You know where it is, but to get it, you have to tell what major tragedy happened there:

Now thought this might be out that way somewheres by that rock in the photo. But I do NOT know that country whatsoever! So you Scatman have been out there in the Sierras in places, Good for you! For myself I have stuck with the Rockies for no more Grizzlies in the Sierras.
