Guess the Spot: Eastern US Edition

@Reef&Ruins, I was trying to figure out what part of Point Pelee the photo was from and found it online. It hadn't occurred to me that it was at the southernmost tip looking north, and I think it's a really cool shot. I would like to be at that spot!

It's worth it. Really really cool spot. When the migration is in full spring some of my friends have told me that if you stand at the end of the vegetation at the tip you can see exhausted birds almost falling out of the air and into the bushes right next to you (it's a long way across the lake for them). Really great for taking pictures of the birds and upping your daily (or life list) totals. I've not actually seen that happen but I have been further up the peninsula and watching birds just everywhere in the bushes.

Not in NC. Go much more northeast. The Appalachian Trail goes right over this summit.

The hilly terrain and water features remind me of mount desert island but the trees point me inland. Millinocket?

It does look similar to the Millinocket area. Somewhat further S. Not on the AT on in ME. In a popular hiking and backpacking area.

You have it!! 5th Peak, Lake George in the Tongue Range. One of my favorite camp sunset shots is from there:

You're up next!
