Our buddy Amanda came down to visit! We had a hoot hanging out and playing with her new puppy, Yoshi. St. George is still in the thick summer, so we made a beeline to Quail Creek State Park to splash around and stay cool. We also wanted to try our luck on a SUP (stand up paddle board,) which might be my new favorite outdoor activity!
SUPs are flat, surfboard-shaped floaty devises -- you stand up on them and paddle around. We swung by DIG Paddlesports at the lake's edge to rent one SUP and one kayak for the afternoon. We were definitely a little wobbly at first, but the water was calm and there were mercifully few powerboats on a Monday morning. I'm officially hooked -- can't wait to get back on the water and try it again!
