Gear Review Sea Eagle Fast Track 385 Inflatable Kayak Review

Oh forget it! I can't wait any longer. I was going to buy from a non sea eagle site to save a few bucks, but I realized that sea eagle offers a really attractive 180 day trial period if you buy direct. Can't beat that. So, I pulled the trigger and got what I'm guessing everyone would recommend - the fasttrack 465. I didn't want to wait too long because I would like to use it on a camping trip on a lake in a few weeks.

Thanks to Dori and o2bav8 for the input and all the reviewers for the great write up.

When you first get it set up you'll think it's gigantic. Once you have two adults in it, I suspect you'll be glad you got the 465. Happy paddling!

A good illustration of the Fast Track's stability and weight capacity. I shot this on our Ruby Horsethief float on the Colorado a couple weeks ago. @Jen (standing) and Alli (in the back) were trying to tip the boat. The boat stayed upright the whole time and Jen went swimming. Love these things.

FYI, I use a carabiner & a 10 cm sling to set my seat in place, no more worrying about the straps coming loose (and they will).
Much better setup once you figure out where you want the seat.
