I am heading to the Goblin Valley area tomorrow with the Scouts. We are looking at doing the Muddy Creek hike. We do not have time for the whole thing, so my question is for those that have done it should we start at the top or the bottom. We are going to hike about 5 to 8 miles round trip. From what I have read it sounds like we would have to hike roughly 2 miles before we really get into the slot canyon. Any advise would be great. Thanks

Just an FYI, we started at the bottom but with the warm winter there was not much of a river.....

i would to shocked there hear there was any water at all in there.
