My 2 sons and I are looking for a 10-14 Mile hike that might have some shade, water, chance to see wildlife, some good elevation, and not too many mtn bikers. I would be willing to drive up to 30 min to trailhead from Main Street in Park City. Thank you for the help.

I’d head for the Mirror Lake Highway in the Uinta Mountains. It’s a little more than 30 min, more like 45 mins to the Crystal Lake trail head where there are multiple trail options. I would suggest the Clyde Lake loop.

If you drive over guardsman pass into big cottonwood, great hikes around silver lake, also hike up to sunset peak, no mountain bikes either. You can also hike north along the great western trail from the top of guardsman pass.
