iPhone GPS

While in the Winds this past week I was surprised to see that the GPS was working on my iPhone even when it was in airplane mode. I came back and researched it and found that the 8.3 update made the GPS still function even when in airplane mode.

I use MotionX-GPS, and the functionality was working in all my other GPS apps.

That made it a lot easier to manage the battery as the GPS only functioned when using the app, and I didn't have to go in and adjust settings whenever I wanted to use the GPS.

I noticed the same thing in July. Thanks for pointing this out. I discovered very much
by accident and had been questioning my memory.
