Identify the spot Utah: I don't know where it is

This old 35mm slide is from the Escalante area and was taken in 1991. It was possibly shot on the west side of the Escalante, possibly just south of Scorpion; the three skyline domes might help locate it. I'm trying to map an old trip with missing data. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanksi-qKS3gTF.jpeg
 
I think you may be right about it being on the west side of the escalante and south of scorpion. Found a spot on google earth that seems to line up fairly well. Not 100% sure but sent you a PM.
 
Thanks so much for your detective work; you have made a reasonably compelling case with your location. I'm still studying the view from your datum in Google Earth and so far most of it seems to line up. Now if I can only figure out how we actually got to the point where the photo was likely taken... That trip map is missing from my files and I would really like to reconstruct our route. Obsession can be a problem.
